The month of July is chock full of great silent films that Cliff will be accompanying with live scores.
On July 11th, Cliff will be performing for the Los Angeles premiere of the restored Vitaphone classic SYNTHETIC SIN at the Cinefamily’s Silent Movie Theatre, starring Colleen Moore, which is a historic moment in Los Angeles film history.
He will also be performing several great shows for UCLA’s Film And Television Archive on July 11th (Lazybones and Secrets, double billed evening show) and July 20th ( Lucky Star, The River) as part of the Seventh Heaven: The Films Of Frank Bozage series. As always, UCLA outdoes itself with the quality of programming they bring to the table.
The month rounds out with a free outdoor show sponsored by the La Crescenta Library featuring yet to be determined 35 mm, hand-cranked prints by the wonderful Joe Rinaudo on July 25th. The temperatures are getting hot and so are the silent movies! Check out the schedule for specifics and come out to see (and hear) silent films as they should be presented – with live music!
